Visitors walk past a mannequin (center right) used to depict a pre-historic human settlement are seen in a cave in the Nahal Me'arot Nature Reserve, or Wadi el-Mughara Caves, situated on the western slopes of Mount Carmel in northern Israel. The site includes the caves of Tabun, Jamal, el-Wad and Skhul. These caves represent at least 500,000 years of human evolution and pre-historic human habitation, demonstrating the unique existence of both Neanderthals and Early Anatomically Modern Humans
