Young Jews from France talk with an Israeli soldier as they attend an immigration information fair organized by The Jewish Agency and the Israeli Ministry of Immigrant Absorption for about a 1,000 French-speaking Jewish young people currently participating in Masa Israel Journey program, at the Jerusalem Theatre in Israel, on March 11, 2015, where they are presented with information on the various immigration tracks available to them as well as on the benefits presented to new immigrants. Masa Israel Journey is a joint initiative of the Israeli government and The Jewish Agency which aims to strengthen young Jews' connections to Israel and deepen their Jewish identities. Approximately 1,300 young French Jews participated in Masa programs in 2014, and that number is expected to grow significantly in 2015. Some two-thirds of French Jewish participants choose to immigrate upon concluding their Masa experience.
