For over five decades, Leila Jabarin hid the fact that she was a Jewish Holocaust survivor from her Muslim children and grandchildren. Jabarin, who was born Helen Brashatsky, moved to the Arab town of Umm al-Fahm with her husband Ahmed Jabarin (not pictured) and converted to Islam after her eldest son turned 18.
