An Israeli man walks underneath the Jerusalem Chords Bridge, or Jerusalem Bridge of Strings, next to a car-free road, during Yom Kippur, or the Day of Atonement, which is the holiest of Jewish holidays, on October 4, 2014. During Yom Kippur the country comes to a 25-hour standstill as devout Jews fast, all businesses are closed and although driving is not prohibited by law, the vast majority of car owners avoid driving on this day.
