Daily Life

Recent Publication - The Washington Post

Photos for a story about daily life around the Damascus Gate, which has been the focal point for many shooting and stabbing attacks committed by Palestinian assailants against Israelis in the past several months.

Please take a few minutes to read the full story by William Booth, Ruth Eglash and head over to my new commissions section to view more photos, including some which did not make it into the story.

During the making of this story, The Washington Post Jerusalem bureau chief, William Booth and reporter Sufian Taha were briefly detained by Israeli Police. More about this unfortunate incident here

Tel Aviv Neighborhoods Guide for Airbnb: Part 1

Last month I was commissioned by Airbnb to shoot their neighborhoods guide for Tel Aviv. The guide covers 10 of the city's neighborhoods which I shot in just over a (very hot and humid) week. I have decided to post my selection of favorite photos on this blog, divided into three parts, each contains 3-4 neighborhoods, which are in geographic proximity but also have a common character and spirit, it's a summary of this wonderful and challenging assignment with the addition of some unpublished photos.

Here's a short Q&A with me about this assignment on the Wonderful Machine blog . The full guide can be seen on the Airbnb website

The first part consists of: Jaffa, The Old City of Jaffa, and Ajami neighborhoods.
